Every cabinet had a different role

A homeowner was planning puck lights beneath several kitchen cabinets and wanted enough light for everyday tasks, with the ability to dim it when needed. They sent a layout sketch and measurements to help us understand the space. An early question revealed that a spacing guide they had read described a different puck-light series, so we clarified which guidance applied to their chosen fixtures.

Working through the layout

The conversation moved from the number of lights to the details between them. We reviewed the cabinet bays and discussed connecting-wire lengths for the proposed arrangement. For this particular project, shorter wires were arranged, and the customer chose white wires to suit the installation. We confirmed those details before the lights were made and kept the customer updated on shipping.

Feedback after installation

The customer confirmed that the lights arrived and were installed by their contractor. They described the light as warm and uniform and sent photographs of the finished installation. Their feedback was candid: the fixtures looked good, and white wiring worked better in their space, but the visible connecting wires were still not ideal.

The details are part of the project

That feedback is an important part of this story. Planning a lighting layout involves more than choosing a fixture finish or counting the lights. The customer's experience showed how cabinet dimensions and visible wiring can affect the finished result, even when the light itself is right.
