Overview

Welcome to GetInLight. This website, getinlight.com, is operated by Guang Dong Inlight Co., Limited, trading as GetInLight (“GetInLight,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and related shopping services and purchases made directly through our store (collectively, the “Services”).

Our store is powered by Shopify. By using the Services or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services or place an order.

Please also review our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, and Return & Refund Policy. The shipping and return policies form part of the terms applicable to your purchase. Our Privacy Policy explains our handling of personal information; accepting these Terms does not, by itself, constitute consent to optional marketing or tracking.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts consumer rights, remedies, warranties, or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted. This protection applies throughout these Terms, including the provisions concerning Shopify, warranties, liability, and disputes.

Eligibility and Accounts

To place an order, you must be legally able to enter into a binding contract. If you purchase on behalf of a business or another person, you must have authority to do so.

You must provide accurate and current contact, billing, payment, and shipping information and have the right to provide it. Please notify us promptly of any error affecting an order.

If you use an account, take reasonable steps to protect your account credentials and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. You may not sell or transfer your account without our permission. You are not responsible under these Terms for activity to the extent that applicable law places responsibility elsewhere.

Product Information and Safe Use

We aim to provide accurate product descriptions, images, specifications, and availability information. Screen settings, lighting, and photography may affect how colors and finishes appear, but this does not remove our responsibility for material inaccuracies or products that do not conform to applicable descriptions or warranties.

Before ordering, review the specifications for the exact model and variant, including dimensions, voltage, installation method, intended location, and dimming or accessory compatibility. Contact us if you need clarification. Do not assume that specifications or compatibility for one model apply to another.

Lighting products must be installed and used in accordance with their instructions, ratings, and applicable electrical and building requirements. Use a qualified electrician where required or appropriate, particularly for hardwired installations. Disconnect electrical power before installation or servicing as directed by the product instructions.

These safety provisions do not waive rights relating to defective products. We do not impose an automatic denial of a defect claim solely because a product has been properly installed.

We may update product listings or discontinue products prospectively. Changes do not retroactively alter the specifications or commitments applicable to an accepted order without your agreement.

Orders and Acceptance

Submitting an order is an offer to purchase the selected products. An automated order-receipt email acknowledges receipt and does not by itself constitute acceptance. We accept an order when we send a shipping confirmation or another communication expressly confirming acceptance.

We may decline an order before acceptance for reasons such as unavailable stock, inability to deliver to the address, a material listing or pricing error, suspected fraud, or a legal restriction. We will notify you using the contact information provided.

If we cannot fulfill an order for which payment has been collected, we will explain the issue and arrange an appropriate resolution, including a refund of amounts paid for items and related charges we cannot fulfill. We will not substitute materially different products or increase an order’s price without your agreement.

After acceptance, any cancellation by us remains subject to applicable law and your rights. The ordering and acceptance process does not extend or override shipping deadlines or delay-related rights that apply to your purchase.

Prices, Taxes, and Payment

The currency and amount payable are shown at checkout. Applicable taxes and any shipping charges collected by us are displayed before you complete payment.

Our current shipping offer is described in the Shipping Policy. Free standard shipping on qualifying orders does not necessarily mean that a change-of-mind return is free; please review the Return & Refund Policy.

Prices and promotions may change for future orders. Prices on Amazon or other marketplaces may differ from prices in this store. Separate promotion terms apply where clearly disclosed, but do not remove non-waivable rights.

You must be authorized to use the payment method you select. Payments are processed through the payment options available at checkout, and payment-provider terms may also apply to those services.

If we identify a material pricing error, we will contact you to explain the error and available options. We will not charge an additional amount without your agreement. Any cancellation or refund is subject to applicable law.

Shipping, Delivery, and Lost Packages

Shipping destinations, fees, estimated delivery information, address changes, and shipment support are described in our Shipping Policy.

Delivery dates are estimates unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing. If we cannot meet a communicated shipping timeframe, we will provide notice and the options required by applicable law, including cancellation and a refund where applicable.

Handing a package to a carrier does not, by itself, end our responsibility to you for fulfillment. If an order is damaged in transit, missing, or marked delivered but cannot be located, contact info@getinlight.com so we can investigate and arrange an appropriate resolution.

Risk of loss passes upon delivery to you or a recipient you authorize at the agreed delivery location, subject to applicable law. A tracking scan alone does not prevent you from raising a genuine non-delivery claim.

Cancellations, Returns, and Refunds

Contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel an order or correct an address. Once processing or shipment has begun, we may be unable to stop or change the order. A request is not confirmation that a change has been completed.

Our Return & Refund Policy explains the 30-day return-request window, item-condition requirements, return shipping costs, and refund process. Please obtain return instructions before sending merchandise back.

The voluntary return window does not shorten any applicable product warranty or non-waivable legal remedy. Purchases made through Amazon or another marketplace are subject to that marketplace’s applicable transaction and return procedures.

Product Warranties and Website Availability

Any express written warranty provided for a particular product applies according to its terms, together with applicable legal rights. These Terms do not create a new fixed warranty period or replace a warranty stated for your product.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability of the Website or optional online tools. To the extent permitted by applicable law, those online services are provided on an “as available” basis.

This website-availability qualification is not a blanket “as is” disclaimer for the physical products we sell. Nothing here excludes applicable express warranties, implied warranties that cannot lawfully be disclaimed, or remedies for defective or misdescribed products.

Intellectual Property

The Website’s design, brand materials, product photographs, text, graphics, videos, and other content are owned by GetInLight or the relevant rights holders, or used with permission. Shopify and other third-party names and marks belong to their respective owners.

You may view the Website and retain reasonable copies of product instructions, specifications, receipts, and order information for evaluating, purchasing, installing, and using products. This permission does not authorize copying our listings, photographs, or branding for a competing store or representing that you are an authorized reseller or partner.

Except where permitted by law or with the relevant rights holder’s permission, you may not reproduce, commercially distribute, alter, or exploit protected content. Rights in customer-submitted content are addressed below.

Reviews and Other Submissions

If you submit a review, photograph, or other content for public display, you retain ownership and grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format, and display that content in connection with the relevant products and our store. This includes displaying product reviews in store-related promotional materials without changing their meaning.

This license does not transfer ownership of your content and does not automatically apply to private support correspondence, payment information, or photographs supplied only to resolve a support claim. Use of personal information remains subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Submissions must be genuine and must not infringe another person’s rights. Disclose incentives or material relationships relevant to a review. Do not include malware, impersonation, unlawful threats, or another person’s private information.

We may remove content for legitimate reasons such as fraud, spam, illegality, disclosure of private information, or content unrelated to the product. We will not prohibit or penalize an honest review solely because it is negative.

Third-Party Tools and Links

The Services may link to or incorporate tools supplied by other providers. Review those providers’ terms and privacy notices before using their services.

We do not control independently operated third-party websites or guarantee their content. This does not remove our obligations concerning your purchase from GetInLight, including where we use a provider to assist with payment, fulfillment, or support.

Relationship with Shopify

GetInLight is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you. However, any sales and purchases you make in our Store are made directly with GetInLight. By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree that Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of any sales between you and GetInLight, including any injury, damage, or loss resulting from purchased products and services. You hereby expressly release Shopify and its affiliates from all claims, damages, and liabilities arising from or related to your purchases and transactions with GetInLight.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains our collection, use, and disclosure of personal information, including processing by payment, order-management, and fulfillment providers.

Shopify collects and processes information about access to and use of our store. Depending on enabled features and the services used, this may include enhanced services drawing on interactions with our store, other merchants, and Shopify. Information may be shared with Shopify and other providers in countries different from your own.

For details about Shopify’s processing, review the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and Shopify Privacy Portal. Nothing in these Terms removes available privacy rights or constitutes blanket consent to optional data processing.

Acceptable Use and Automated Access

You may not use the Services to commit fraud, infringe rights, send spam, introduce malicious code, harvest personal information without authorization, disrupt systems, impersonate others, or bypass security and access controls.

Automated access is permitted only where authorized by us or through a channel we make available for that purpose. Authorized automated agents must identify their automated nature accurately, comply with applicable access restrictions and rate limits, and stop when permission is withdrawn. Agents must not disguise themselves as human users or circumvent CAPTCHAs or other access controls.

These restrictions are not intended to prevent lawful use of assistive technologies for accessibility. A purchasing agent must have your authorization and does not change the applicable payment, order, or consumer-protection terms.

Suspension and Termination

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address fraud, security risks, unlawful activity, or a material breach of these Terms. Where appropriate and legally required, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

Suspension or termination does not automatically cancel accepted orders, eliminate refund obligations, or remove your rights concerning existing purchases. Provisions that reasonably need to continue, such as intellectual property, existing payment obligations, privacy obligations, and dispute-related provisions, survive to the extent applicable.

Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, mandatory product liability, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Subject to that protection, and only to the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential business losses such as lost profits or business opportunities arising from use of the Website.

This provision does not remove obligations to supply products as agreed, provide refunds or other remedies where required, honor applicable warranties, or address valid claims for defective products. It also does not exclude direct losses for which we are legally responsible.

Responsibility for Misuse

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you are responsible for third-party claims and reasonable resulting costs directly caused by your fraudulent or unlawful misuse of the Services or your knowing infringement of another person’s rights.

This provision does not make you responsible for claims caused by our own conduct, defective products, or ordinary lawful use of the Services. We will provide reasonable notice of a claim and will not agree to a settlement imposing obligations on you without your consent.

Applicable Law and Disputes

These Terms and purchases are subject to the laws that apply under the relevant conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms deprives a consumer of mandatory protections available under applicable law.

If a problem arises, contact info@getinlight.com so we can attempt to resolve it. This informal process does not prevent you from pursuing a claim, chargeback, regulatory complaint, or other available remedy, and does not extend any applicable deadline.

Any unresolved dispute may be brought before a court with lawful jurisdiction. These Terms do not impose mandatory arbitration, a class-action waiver, or an exclusive foreign-court requirement.

General Provisions

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later.

These Terms and the policies incorporated above describe the agreement for the Services, together with product-specific descriptions, warranties, and any written terms expressly agreed for your purchase. They do not override mandatory law or exclude representations on which you are legally entitled to rely.

For shipping and returns, the corresponding specific policy governs its subject matter, subject to mandatory rights. For personal information, the Privacy Policy governs. Any expressly agreed product-specific terms continue to apply.

A transfer of our business or contractual rights will not reduce your existing rights. Any transfer of obligations remains subject to applicable law and any consent requirements. Headings are for convenience only.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms for future use of the Services and future orders. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date, and we will provide notice or obtain agreement where required.

Changes do not retroactively reduce your rights or alter the agreed terms of an existing purchase without your agreement, except where a change is required by law.
