Frequently Asked Questions

Practical answers for choosing, replacing and ordering your lighting.

Which models plug in, and which need hardwiring?

Novice (IN-0110) and Adler (IN-0102) are plug-in kits. Hansley (IN-0201) and LAGOM Luna (UC03) are hardwired models. Hendrix (IN-0210) supports either connection. LAGOM Halo can be hardwired or used with its compatible power cord, sold separately. Confirm the selected product's package contents before ordering.

Hardwired work should follow the specific installation instructions and be completed by a qualified electrician.

What should I check before replacing an old light?

Record the old model number, measure the available space and check its supply voltage and connection type. Compare the new fixture's length, width, height, mounting points and wiring-entry location. A similar length or connector shape does not establish compatibility.

Do not reuse an old driver, cord or linking connector unless the new model's instructions expressly allow it. Send photos of the fixture and its label to info@getinlight.com for help. Do not open live wiring to photograph it.

How do I choose the length?

Measure the usable space under each cabinet, including the cabinet lip and any obstructions. Leave the clearance required for end connectors, wiring and controls. Use the dimensional drawing for the exact option you select; nominal length and mounting-hole spacing are not the same measurement.

Plan separate cabinet runs individually. A linking cable is not universally compatible across brands or series.

Does dimmable mean it works with my wall dimmer?

No. A fixture switch or an in-line dimmer and a wall dimmer are different controls. Novice uses its supplied in-line controller. For a wall-dimming installation, check the exact fixture and dimmer combination in the model-specific compatibility information. Do not assume one model's compatibility list applies to another.

What is the difference between finish and white-light settings?

Finish is the visible housing color, such as white or bronze. White-light settings describe the emitted light, measured in kelvin (K). On models with selectable settings, you choose the white-light tone using the specified control; it is not automatic color cycling. Versions within a series can have different settings.

Can I use a Halo cable with another series?

Halo linking cables and its plug-in power cord are offered for the LAGOM Halo system. Do not assume they fit Hendrix, Hansley, Luna or a different brand. Check the exact model and connector before ordering an accessory.

When will my order ship and arrive?

Orders use Amazon's fulfillment network. Dispatch and delivery are separate stages, and the timing depends on the selected service, inventory readiness, item size and destination. An Amazon fulfillment order is not automatically a Prime two-day order.

Need delivery by a particular date? Email the product/SKU, quantity and ZIP code to info@getinlight.com before ordering so we can check the applicable estimate. For an existing shipment, follow its tracking updates.

How are returns and warranty coverage different?

Return requests must be made within the period and conditions in our return policy. The current store warranty lists five years for Hendrix (IN-0210) and three years for other INLIGHT and LAGOM products, subject to the warranty terms. This does not mean every used or installed item is returnable.
